Q: WHAT IS A VI LIFE PLAN COMMUNITY?

A: In our Life Plan Community, also known as a Continuing Care Retirement Community (CCRC), residents enjoy independent living while having a plan for continuing care, consisting of access to assisted living, memory support and skilled nursing. Our residents enjoy meals prepared daily by our in-house Executive Chef, an array of lifestyle and fitness programming, and much, much more.

Q: HOW DOES PRICING AT VI AT AVENTURA WORK?

A: Vi at Aventura offers two pricing contracts, Inclusive Care (Type A) and Fee-for-Service Care (Type C). Both have a one-time entrance fee with a choice of refund options. Both have a monthly fee for your apartment home and access to our on-site continuum of care. Your monthly fees are directly tied to the floor plan and care option you choose and cover a range of services.

Q: What do the entrance fees and monthly fees cover?

A: Your entrance and monthly fees pay for your apartment home, as well as access to our onsite continuum of care. Additionally, your monthly fees -- which are directly tied to the floor plan you choose -- also cover a range of services including: maintenance of your home, housekeeping, dining, transportation, and more. With Inclusive Care, should you move to the care center, your monthly fees stay the same as your independent living monthly fees. With Fee-for-Service, you have access to care venues, but if you move to the care center, your monthly fees will be based on standard market rates for the applicable care venue. Both pricing options are subject to ancillary fees for items such as extra meals and supplies and annual community-wide monthly fee increases.

Q: WHAT IS AN ENTRANCE FEE RETURN OPTION?

A: We offer entrance fee return options to fit both your current and future financial needs. Choosing a 90% return option means that upon termination of your life-care contract and in accord with the terms of that contract, your chosen beneficiary will receive 90% of the entrance fee that you paid. A 0% return option means that your one-time entrance fee will not be returned after the period set forth in your life-care contract.

Q: WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN INCLUSIVE CARE AND FEE-FOR-SERVICE CARE?

A: With Inclusive Care, should you move to the care center, your monthly fee will stay the same as your independent living monthly fees. With the Fee-for-Service, your monthly fee is lower, and you have access to the care center, but if you move to the care center your fees will increase based on standard market rates. Both pricing options are subject to ancillary fees for items such as extra meals and supplies and annual community-wide monthly fee increases.

Both care options are subject to ancillary fees for items such as extra meals and supplies and annual community-wide monthly fee increases.

Q: Are you able to move directly into the Care Center?

A: While our vacancies vary, we sometimes have immediate occupancy available in our assisted living, memory support, or skilled nursing care programs. Costs for direct entry to our care center are charged at then current market rates.
